The Environment Matters
"Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part."

Herein are several links to environmental websites and organizations reflecting the values of this church community.
"We are an energetic group of teenagers from the Upper Valley area of Vermont dedicated to making the world a better place. Formed six years ago and now a non-profit corporation, we operate totally with volunteer labor. We have chapters in Westhampton, Massachusetts and Little Rock, Arkansas"

Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs Project
Challenged in a sermon last summer to consider replacing incandescent energy-hogging light bulbs with energy-friendly compact fluorescent light bulbs, the church family and friends has embarked on a campaign to encourage this simple technique to become part of a solution rather than a part of a problem. Members of the church community are encouraged to make this change and to let us know how many of the "old" bulbs have been replaced with the "new" bulbs in their homes and offices. The current total as of the beginning of October, 2007, is 1300 !
